Situated in the old town district of Philadelphia and overlooking Rittenhouse Square, the Rittenhouse Hotel has undergone extensive renovation and has re-established itself as the best hotel in Philadelphia. Service here is renowned and has received the prestigious Forbes five diamond award for each of the last 25 years. The hotel is close to Philadelphia’s historic Revolutionary attractions.
The rooms here are the largest in Philadelphia and we particularly recommend the executive suites.
The Lacroix restaurant specialises in international fine dining and is one of the best restaurants in town. The hotel has a spa, salon, indoor pool and fitness centre.
There is a choice of bars, the Bar 210 and the Library bar. We loved the traditional afternoon tea at the Mary Cassatt tearoom. Wonderful signatures teas with exotic names such as ‘Marry Me Again’ and ‘Duchess’ First Love’. Heavenly.

Lacroix is the hotel’s signature fine‑dining restaurant and has been consistently awarded Michelin stars. The restaurant presents creative contemporary cuisine with French influences, highlighting seasonal ingredients and elegant presentation under the direction of an acclaimed culinary team.
Scarpetta serves refined Italian cuisine in a stylish setting known for its handmade pasta and classic flavours. The Library Bar offers a relaxed yet sophisticated space for cocktails, wines and light fare, frequently hosting live jazz performances.
