Our review
Set on its own private beach, this historic property covers 25 acres and is the premier hotel in Cape Cod. It is very much a destination hotel and you’ll be spoilt for choice for things to do.
Chatham is noted for its fishing and the hotel offers lobster catching, sailing and kayaking; you can even take a helicopter shark spotting tour. For the less adventurous a fleet of jalopies will take you on a sedate tour of charming Chatham.
It also has an onsite 9 hole golf course and tennis courts with a resident tennis pro. You can relax at the 4 star spa and eat in a choice of four restaurants, including the renowned Stars restaurant or the Beach House Grill. They also have an authentic clambake pit on the beach.
The rooms are sumptuous and we recommend either a beachside cottage, or one of the spa suites which all have a private sauna and massage bed.
There is a VIP concierge. The hotel is only a quarter of a mile from Chatham High Street.
The sea views from the hotel are outstanding as is the quality of service. The Kennedys – no strangers to luxury – always rated this place one of the best.
