Contemporary five‑star boutique hotel in central Cannes with rooftop pool, refined dining and a luxury spa near La Croisette
Our review
Five Seas is a gorgeous modern hotel that opened in 2011, near the Congress Centre and port. A former post office building, it is opposite the church where Napoleon began one of his famous campaigns.
Rather than a lobby, the hotel has a tea lounge with silk screens and sofas and chairs arranged around low tables, creating small, intimate areas.
Stylish rooms feature bespoke furniture, in particular a cabin trunk that is a mini bar and a red leather and beech wood cube that reveals a desk and chair. Both may be purchased. Bathrooms slippers are soft red to match the desk and housekeeping is spot on, making sure even the curtains are pleated neatly at floor level.
The bar and restaurant are on the top floor. There is a small dipping pool and sun loungers. Just off here is a ‘secret suite’ with an anonymous-looking entrance door, popular with honeymooners. The suite has a rooftop terrace and a shower open to the stars.
Patisserie here is exquisite, served by world pastry champion Jerome De Oliveira who also has a shop in the premises.
The family-owned hotel also has a yacht – Coco VI – available for guests to charter during the summer.
This is a delightful small hotel in an up and coming part of town.

Five Seas Hotel offers around 45 rooms and suites designed in a modern, design‑led style. Rooms are notably spacious for a city hotel and feature contemporary furnishings, canopy‑style beds and luxury bathrooms. Many suites include private terraces, with some offering outdoor jacuzzis and panoramic views over Cannes’ old town.
Food and Drink
Le Roof Restaurant & Lounge is located on the rooftop and offers innovative modern Mediterranean cuisine designed for sharing, paired with sweeping views across Cannes. The menu focuses on fresh local ingredients in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.
The rooftop also hosts a stylish lounge bar, popular for cocktails at sunset, while additional dining spaces within the hotel cater to breakfast and light daytime meals.
Wellness
The spa at Five Seas Hotel features a hammam, two saunas, relaxation areas and treatment rooms offering massages and beauty therapies. Wellness treatments use premium products from Phytomer, VIE Collection and Intraceuticals. A fitness area complements the spa facilities.
